COVID

Keeping our staff, students and community safe

If there is confirmed Covid case in your household which includes a student, please make contact with the College immediately by emailing:

What happens if there my son/daughter is a confirmed case or household contact?

➡️ Cases will be identified via a positive PCR or rapid antigen test (RAT) and will need to isolate for 7 days.
➡️ Household contacts of cases will immediately self-isolate for 7 days at the same time the positive household case is confirmed. They need to get a RAT on day 3 and 7.
➡️ Close Contacts are no longer required to self-isolate, but do need to monitor for symptoms for 10 days and get tested if they become symptomatic.
Schools will no longer contact trace to identify close contacts of confirmed cases.
If your child is a confirmed case please inform the College by emailing: coivdpositive@ellesmere.school.nz
If your child is a household contact and self-isolating please report this via the usual attendance channels.
The tools below will help you determine what type of contact you may be, and what you should do if you need to isolate.
